Visitors are always
welcome (£10 per night) As a club that concentrates
very much on league fixtures, we are unable to devote much if any time to
coaching beginners to the sport. However, if you are of a decent club
standard and want to regularly play league standard games then
we may be the club for you. Members pay a yearly £30
subscription and £15 per month thereafter. Match fees are currently £1 per
match home and away. Visitors pay £10 on a weekly
pay as you play basis. After 3 weeks membership
may be offered and monies paid as a visitor transferred to be subscription
fee paid. Club nights – Monday (7.30 –
9.30ish) Bettws Leisure Centre – Part of the new Newport High School Matches – Usually Friday (7 –
10) Risca Leisure centre |

Advice Before joining any club, visit
and play a few times on club nights and ensure the club offers you what you
want out of the game, ie. don’t join a
beginners club if you want to play division 1 badminton; and conversely don’t
join a league driven club if you just want a bit of fun once a week – not
that we don’t have fun! If you can’t find a club to
join, then why not get a group of like minded friends together and start your
own! |
